Out of the Funk and into the Flow

I want you to imagine a fabulous day when you’ve just been on FIRE!

You’re getting new clients, the blog you wrote was kick ass, you’re Facebook page got more likes… etc…    You feel energized you’re looking good, and you get a new connection that you really clicked with and know will be great for your business… You have tons of new ideas flowing to you and you are SURE you are going to succeed you can almost taste it!

How does THAT make you feel??  Pretty awesome right?  I call this the FLOW.

Picture this….  you’re at your desk and the computer is acting up, your emails are piling up, and you have 2 pages of to-do lists taunting you from your pile of papers on your desk.  Nothing feels like it’s going your way, you question why you started your business and you get caught up in a bit of a pity party for yourself….and then you don’t want to do anything.  And whatever problems or circumstances come up in that time are overwhelming and you don’t know how you are going to be able to do it.   Fear sets in and you are ready to give up.

Can you relate to any part of that? How does that feel?  I call this the FUNK.

It’s all in our mindset.

The Law of Attraction is one of the better-known universal laws. The theory behind the Law of Attraction is that we create our own realities. We attract things we want and we also attract things we don’t want. We attract the people in our lives, the stuff in our homes, and the money in our bank accounts through our thoughts and feelings.

When our beliefs are limited, we attract limited wealth and compromise our well-being. When we believe anything is possible, the sky’s the limit and abundance is ours.

The more you think about something, the longer you are in that vibration.  The longer you stay in that vibration, the stronger you attract what comes into your life.   Positive or negative.

Both in your BUSINESS life and your PERSONAL life.  It’s all connected.

 

When you’re in the FUNK… you attract the GUNK.

Since the law of attraction responds to your vibration accordingly… you lose focus and motivation, which leads to being less productive which leads to you feeling badly about yourself and your day, and ultimately is not good for your bottom line.

When you’re in the FLOW… you’re ready to GO! 

You’re energized, shining and pumped up!  You ARE doing it, you HAVE great ideas, you CAN make it work! You are sending out a positive vibration and because Like attracts Like… more great things come to you and your finances and happiness improve.

Our mindset keeps us in the FUNK or in the FLOW.  Where do you want to be?

We have built up habits and old thought patterns over the years and our minds automatically go to what’s most comfortable, which for most people tends to be negative.  We focus on what we ‘should’ or ‘could’ have done, making it a lot easier to stay in the funk.

The flow takes a bit more work… but that’s only because we are so used to looking for what’s wrong with us,  instead of what’s right.  Thoughts we’ve been programmed with growing up or what’s been around us have shifted us and in turn, we’ve forgotten who we really are at our core, and what our passions and purpose are.

 

We are all full of infinite potential, the only thing that limits us is our belief in our worthiness or ability to receive it.

The good news… we have the power to switch out of the funk and into the flow at any time.  The more you practice it… the easier it becomes.  You train your brain to think in a new way and shift your mindset.  By creating new thought patterns towards what is good, or what we desire, we change the neuropathways in our brain to seek out more possibilities instead of limitations.

A quick way to get out of a funk:

  1. Take a few deep breaths (clear your body of tension)

  2. Get a new perspective (walk away, come back, change what you’re working on, call a friend)

  3. What is ONE thing you could do right then that you would like to do… and do it.

If you find yourself really stuck in the funk… I recommend adding these easy things to your daily routine.

How to stay in the flow….

  1. Breathe (meditation, stretching)

  2. Visualize Success (affirmations, journaling, dreaming)

  3. Surround Yourself (people, videos, books)

We are creatures of habit… change your habits.  Catch your thoughts. 

Release old thoughts and replace them with new thoughts because whatever follows “I AM” will always come looking for you.  If you can change your mindset, you can change your life!
